I love telling stories with pictures. Capturing authentic life moments and beautiful light make me way beyond happy. I’ve been taking pictures for over 30 years and still learn every day. I have strong visual ideas but listen extremely well. We’ve been very fortunate that most of the brands we shoot for continue to work with us over many campaigns and multiple years. Our ability and desire to delve in and completely understand a company’s message, and then have fun on shoot-day telling the visual story, is a huge part of what we do, and is incredibly satisfying. We view ourselves as a creative partner and know we have the best job in the world. My background is in documentary photography and that desire to capture the authentic in people, from life moments to body language to location, lighting, and propping, all combine together into how we craft our images today. We have amazing production crew that makes sure we get what we want with no drama. I firmly believe that everyone works better when it’s one big happy family on set and that feeling of bonhomie carries over into the pictures. We definitely didn’t go into photography for the awards (at all) but some industry recognition we’ve received so far has been; Archive’s 200 Best Advertising Photographers Worldwide 2012/2013/2014/2015/2016, The CA, PDN, & Graphis Photo Annuals, and numerous Addy’s along the way, but I honestly feel the best recognition is when the client and the agency give a pat on the back (or a hug, I like that more) and say job very well done. I hope you enjoy some of the pictures and that we’ll get the chance to meet some day. Cheers, -Richard Read Less
